Fall Staples

Hi friends! ! My husband and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary last weekend, and I still cannot believe how fast these last 5 years have went... We ended up taking the kiddos to St. Louis for the day. Zoo day for the win! Followed by a late afternoon lunch at The Boathouse and feeding the ducks on the pond! Karsyn LOVED feeding the ducks. Honestly, I think she could have stayed there all day, ha! I couldn't have asked for a better day with my love and our little ones, perfect day for some fun in the sun!

Anyways, I wanted to share with you this chic little jacket I snagged from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I realize it's a little early to be thinking about upcoming fall clothes BUT when this gorgeous jacket went on sale, I knew I just had to grab it and share it! This faux suede jacket is the perfect burgundy wine color. I LOVE this color. It's even more beautiful in person. This jacket is going to look FAB paired with distressed denim, a simple tee, and ankle boots. I love a great jacket because it's such an easy piece to mix and match within your wardrobe... I also love the idea of having a few go-to jackets in your closet {a military jacket, denim jacket, etc.}... I believe a jacket is a great piece to invest in within your wardrobe.
